Career Journey

A career built by widening the perspective.

From hospitality procurement to global transportation intelligence. Each chapter changed how I understand the business, work with people and approach unfamiliar problems.

01

The foundations · Hospitality procurement

Service before supply chain

In hospitality, purchasing serves the departments that serve the guest. That taught me that every process has a customer, even when that customer is a colleague. Rigor, responsiveness and collaboration became the foundation of how I work.

May 2018 – May 2020 · Global Buyer · Nestlé Business Services, Lisbon

From local needs to global decisions

Moving into a multinational expanded my perspective on sourcing, negotiation and stakeholder alignment. A specialised activated-carbon tender across 12 US factories taught me to ask better questions, learn from technical experts and earn trust without pretending to know everything.

May 2020 – September 2021 · Continuous Improvement Lead · Nestlé Business Services, Lisbon

Improvement through people

I developed an existing support structure into four specialised teams of around 25 colleagues serving a centre of roughly 400 people. Recruiting motivated people, creating opportunities to lead and facilitating strategic workshops showed me that improvement is as much about capability and commitment as it is about methods.

September 2021 – Present · Global Transportation Manager · Nespresso Supply Chain Hub

Learning a new operational reality

Entering a specialist transportation role meant building supply chain knowledge from the ground up. I brought commercial experience and a continuous-improvement mindset, then developed the operational depth the role demanded. Adaptability became something to practise every day.

05

Global transportation · Risk and resilience

Finding clarity through disruption

Disruption made the value of clear information tangible. Working across carriers, freight forwarders, Planning and Markets, I focused on making exposure visible and helping the right people coordinate decisions and escalations.

Data, technology and decision support

From operations to intelligence

Repeated reporting effort revealed a bigger opportunity. I conceived and built the Transportation Intelligence Hub, learning Power BI and developing Snowflake fluency along the way. Operational visibility grew into a shared platform for performance, risk and transportation strategy.

Applied AI · Knowledge sharing · Development

Broadening the impact

ClaimRight brought practical AI into a demanding business workflow. Career-development sessions and cross-team learning created other ways to contribute. The common thread is finding an unmet need, taking ownership and helping others use the result.
